SIPO Delegation visits Japan and South Korea

 

Recently, Xiao Xingwei, CPC Leading Group Member of the State Intellectual Property Office (SIPO) and Head of Central Commission for Discipline Inspections of the CPC in SIPO, led a delegation on a working visit to Japan and South Korea on the patent information services and applications work.

During the visit, Xiao Xingwei had respective talks with Japan Patent Office Deputy Commissioner Koichi Minami and South Korea Intellectual Property Office Deputy Commissioner Kim Chang-Ryong, and exchanged views on patent information services and application. The delegation also visited Japan National Center for Industrial Property Information and Training (INPIT), Japan Patent Information Organization (JAPIO), Korea Institute of Patent Information (KIPI) and other patent information services agencies. The delegation had a more comprehensive understanding of ideas, policies, measures, and achievements of Japanese and Korean patent information services and applications development. 

This visit would play an active role for the further improvement of China's patent information service system, the effective application of patent information, and help to promote overall economic and social development in China with useful reference. At the same time, it also laid a good foundation for the further cooperation between China and Japan, as well as China and South Korea in the patent information services and application work.
