SIPO Deputy Director He Hua met with Executive Vice President of Qualcomm in Beijing

 

Deputy Director of the State Intellectual Property Office (SIPO) He Hua, met with Vice Executive President of Qualcomm, Donald Rosenberg in Beijing on May 12th. The two sides exchanged ideas on intellectual property.

He Hua expressed that Qualcomm is a leading company in communication industry and it attaches great importance to intellectual property and R & D. Qualcomm is an important customer of SIPO. SIPO is willing to communicate with our customers and listen to their comments and suggestions, especially on the amended Patent Law. He Hua stressed that SIPO would continue to increase investment in personnel training, increase the quality of review, and form and build a relatively comprehensive quality evaluation system of patent examination.
 
Mr. Rosenberg briefly introduced the company and its major business. He said that Qualcomm is very interested in the intellectual property and IPR protection. 60% of the employees are engineers engaged in research and development. Qualcomm applied many patents not only in the United States, but also in China.
