On Jan 21st, 2010, Director of SIPO Tian Lipu signed the No.55 Order of the Office, promulgated Guidance of Patent Examination, which would be put into practice on Feb 1st 2010. 

 

The amendment of this guidance of patent examination mainly focused on the adjustments made to patent law and its third amendment on rules for the implementation. With optimizing the procedure set-up, increasing the patent examination efficiency, and standardizing the patent examination in mind, some adjustments were made to patent application and examination criteria. 

 

Recently, SIPO was organizing the amendment working group's experts to publicize the work in the country.
