Deputy Director of SIPO Li Yuguang Attended WIPO Global Symposium of Intellectual Property Authorities and Delivered Speech

 

Recently, WIPO held the Global Symposium of Intellectual Property Authorities in Geneva, discussing the current IP infrastructure and support for cross-border innovation activities. Deputy Director of SIPO Li Yuguang attended the symposium and gave a speech.

Li pointed out that China's rapid development in the IP field was largely benefited from the open and cooperative IP policy. He stressed that the increase of examination work, diversification of customers' demand and the development of digitalization were common challenges facing people all over the world. Against such background, various parties should continue to, under the guidelines of WIPO, take concrete actions in an open manner to make the IP system more efficient and ordered.

More than 40 persons-in-charge from various global IP authorities attended the meetings and delivered speeches. Representatives presented expressed their own views on IP authorities' modernization, financial mode and statistics, IP tools, patents information, registration service for brand and appearance design, international cooperation and etc.
