On July 14th, SIPO Director Tian Lipu met with visiting Ambassador Marantis in Beijing. Marantis has just been elected as new Deputy Trade Representative (DUSTR) of the Office of the United Stated Trade Representative.

 

Tian introduced SIPO's new responsibilities and its change, the latest information on the implementation of NIPS, and the changes on China's Patent Law's implementing regulations and examination guidelines.

 

Marantis praised SIPO's achievement and expressed his concern of the implementation of NIPS, JCCT's IPR work team and the amendments of related laws and regulations.
