Carlos Gutierrez's visit to China will involve intellectual property

 

It was learnt that Carlos Gutierrez, U.S. Secretary of Commerce, will lead a U. S. commerce and trade delegation to China on November 13th to seek possibilities of expanding U.S. export in China.  His delegation is composed of 25 American companies and will visit Beijing and Shanghai.  This will be Gutierrez's fourth visit to China since he assumes his office as Secretary of Commerce, but the first time as leader of a U.S. commerce and trade delegation.

According to the statement issued by the U.S. Department of Commerce, the visiting delegation will meet with China's senior government officials, leaders of the commercial circle as well as the potential partners of cooperation.  The delegation's visit will also provide a platform to discuss the policies and trade problems confronted by the American companies in the Chinese market, including protection of intellectual property, transparency and legal rule and so on.
