The 13th China Yang Ling Agricultural High and New Technology Achievement Expo was solemnly opened on November 5th.  A SIPO Exhibition Delegation represented by Xin Shengcai, Head of the discipline inspection team of the CPC Central Committee for Discipline Inspection stationed in SIPO, Ma Weiye, Director of the Coordination Management Department, SIPO, and Wei Jianfeng, Director of the Shaanxi Provincial Intellectual Property Bureau attended the opening ceremony of the Expo.

 

The theme of the Expo is new technology, new countryside and big market.  In order to accelerate the readjustment of the industrial structure of agriculture and the change of the growth pattern through the enforcement of intellectual property, merchandization and industrialization of the independent innovation achievements and to even better serve the building of a new socialist new countryside, the exhibition delegation of SIPO organized 15 sub-delegations from the related provincial, autonomous region and municipalities under the Central Government and through which, more than 150 projects were on display at the Expo (organized by 70 scientific and research units).  These projects mainly included: patent technology and products of planting, infrastructure agriculture, animal husbandry, agro-biotechnology, green food, traditional Chinese herbal medicine, fruits, seeds and processing products of farm by-products.

 

At the opening ceremony, Zhang Shiqing, Vice-chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and Li Jianguo, Secretary of the CPC Shaanxi Provincial Committee as well as the related leaders from the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Commerce and the Ministry of Agriculture visited the exhibition site organized by SIPO with great interest.  Zhang himself was very much interested in space vegetables and space flowers displayed and confirmed the importanct role of the intellectual property in the agricultural high science and technology area.  Xin Shengcai briefed Zhang Shiqing the relevant information about this session's SIPO exhibition delegation.
