Tian Lipu attended the Hong Kong and Macao Intellectual Property Strategy Seminar in Shenzhen

 

On October 31, the Hong Kong and Macao SARs Intellectual Property Strategy Seminar was convened by the State Intellectual Property Working Office in Shenzhen.  Tian Lipu, Director of the State Intellectual Property Office and Deputy-Head of the Leading Group for the Formulation of the State Intellectual Property Strategy attended the seminar and also delivered a speech.  Liu Yinli, Member of the Standing committee of the CPC Shenzhen City Committee and Executive Vice-Mayor of Shenzhen City also attended the seminar and delivered an address.  The seminar was presided over by Wen Xikai, Deputy-Head and Secretary-Genera of the Working Office of the Leading Group for the Formulation of the State Intellectual Property Strategy.  The various special-topic groups, the relevant units and the leaders and comrades of the Shenzhen City Intellectual Property Bureau participated in the seminar.  The leader concerned from the Guangdong Provincial Intellectual Property Bureau also participated in the seminar.

Tian Lipu pointed out in his speech that "For the purpose of formulating and implementing the intellectual property strategy, we need to solicit the opinions and suggestions from all the sectors and assimilate the useful experiences from them." To hold specialized seminars in Shenzhen, China's front line city of reform and opening-up, to exchange the working experience of Hong Kong and Macau SARs pertaining to intellectual property and to explore ways of cooperation between the State and the Hong Kong and Macau SARs in the context of intellectual property strategy will certainly be conducive to the formulation and implementation of the State Intellectual Property Strategy.  Executive Vice-Mayor Liu Yinli thanked the State Intellectual Property Strategy Working Office for selecting Shenzhen as the venue of the seminar and wished the seminar a complete success.

At the meeting, Xie Sufang, Director of the Hong Kong SAR Intellectual Property Bureau, Chen Zihui, Director of the Intellectual Property Department under the Macau SAR Economic Bureau, He Jikai of the Hong Kong Customs, Li Xixun of Hong Kong Productive Force Promotion Bureau, Wang Youming, Director of the  Shenzhen Intellectual Property Bureau and Professor Zhu Xiequn of Shenzhen University made in-depth discussions with the participants of the various special-topic groups on such issues as the policy measures and the existing main problems of Hong Kong and Macao SARs on intellectual property, the intellectual property cooperation between Shenzhen and Hong Kong as well as the push for the implementation of the State Intellectual Property Strategy in the Pearl River delta area.  The seminar has achieved the estimated results.
