A few days ago Xing Shengcai, head of the discipline inspection team of the State Intellectual Property Office assigned by the CPC Central Committee for Discipline Inspection went to Huangshi city of Hubei province to study and inspect the development of its trial work on intellectual property. Xing Shengcai fully affirmed the practice that the work of intellectual property is really incorporated into that of science, technology and economy, and hoped that the city would continue to make still greater contribution to the local economic development, with service economy as the main battle field, and the increase of capacity and level of using intellectual property by market players as the priority. 

Accompanied by Gao Faxin, deputy director of Hubei Provincial Intellectual Property Bureau, Zhang Baiqing and Bai Guanqing, vice mayors of Huangshi city, Xing Shengcai and his party went down to Huangshi Huaxin Forging and Pressing Machinery Company, Huangshi Shanli Coating and Plating Engineering Technology Company and elsewhere for tour study and investigation. During their stay there they listened to special reports on the work of intellectual property and had informal discussions with the municipal bureau of science and technology, intellectual property bureau and representatives of some enterprises.

It is understood that the quantity of patent rights applied for registration per capita in Huangshi city ranks first in Hubei province. Last year it was included by the State Intellectual Property Office in the list of those cities nationwide that conduct intellectual property work on a trial basis, and this year the city was the first among others in the province to have published its Some Suggestions on the Consolidation of Intellectual Property Work, and firmly decided to set up a special fund to support the development of intellectual property business.
