A Solicit Opinions Meeting on Amendment Draft of the Patent Law opened in Suzhou City

 

A Solicit Opinions Meeting on Amendment Draft of the Patent Law of the People's Republic of China was opened in Suzhou City recently.  More than 50 people attended the meeting.  They included: Yin Xintian, director of the Department of Treaty and Law, SIPO, Zhu Yu, director of Jiangsu Provincial Intellectual Property Office and the representatives from the corporate circles, intellectual property management departments, judicial organs and intermediary service agencies of Zhejiang, Shandong, Guangdong, Anhui provinces and Shanghai Municipality.

Zhu Yu, director of Jiangsu Provincial Intellectual Property Office delivered a short speech.  He thanked SIPO for choosing Jiangsu as the venue of this meeting and at the same time he requested the representatives from all circles in Jiangsu to actively take part in the discussions and also avail themselves of this opportunity to enhance exchange with the representatives from the brotherly provinces and municipalities. 

Director Yin Xintian briefed the representatives the background and process for the Third Amendment Draft of the Patent Law as well as the repercussions from China and abroad.

In the process of discussions, the representatives took the floor one after another and each aired his/her own views.  They proposed many constructive opinions on the Amendment Draft of the Patent Law of the People's Republic of China (Draft for solicit opinions).
