Recently, the Press Conference for CCTV Innovation Grand Ceremony and 2006 China Wuxi International Industrial Designing Fair was solemnly held in the Great Hall of the People, Beijing.  Chen Zhonghua, secretary-general of the State Intellectual Property Office was present and gave an address.  Han Jianqun, deputy director of the Advertisement and Economic Information Center, CCTV and superintendent for economic channel operation, Tan Xueming, vice mayor of Wuxi City and Liu Guanzhong, vice president of the China Association for Industrial Designing were also present and spoke at the meeting.  Correspondents from more than 50 media and  representatives from more than 100 related enterprises attended this press conference. 

 

In his address, Chen Zhonghua said: "CCTV Innovation Grand Ceremony" program has become an important component in the new brand program of CCTV, which transmits to the audience the latest innovation concept and fashion design products, thus providing an ideal platform for the interaction and exchange among innovation enterprises, consumers, industrial designing section and the media.  On the basis of summing up the work of the Innovation Grand Ceremony of the previous two sessions, and in order to sufficiently embody the strictness and authority of the selection through public appraisal, the current CCTV Innovation Grand Ceremony has conducted a retrieve for patents on all the products to be displayed.  This will make this year's selection even more just and objective.  Moreover, CCTV and China Wuxi International Industrial Designing Fair will work hand in hand, and while energetically recommending industrial designing concepts and industrial design products to the society, they will also make bold innovation in terms of the scope and content of the activity.  This will surely bring encouragement and comfort to the people.
