China Int'l Patent Technology and Product Fair was held in Dalian from Aug. 17 to 19, and attracted delegations from 23 countries and regions as well as from most of Chinese provinces and municipalities. The 20,000-sq.-meter-big exhibition hall accommodated 900 exhibiting units with some 500 patent technologies and products showing to the public. Many famous international enterprises had their own counters in the exhibition, as well as many universities, scientific and technological institutes and enterprises run by returned-overseas-Chinese. SIPO had its own space to exhibit awarded patents, and several special areas were designed to show hi-tech achievements from China's patent zones, development zones, hi-tech zones, and even inventions or patents from individuals and even talented teenagers.

The three-day exhibition also saw a series events, according to a forum for enterprises' innovation and IPR protection and reports made by woman inventors. What is more, 433 technical cooperation or technique transferring agreements were signed, 87 delegations were awarded for their excellent organizing or decoration.

Some 90,000 people visited the exhibition, and Mr. Tian Lipu, the commissioner of SIPO, Liao Bin, the vice director of SIPO coordination department, and some seniors officials from Liaoning Province and Dalian city attended the exhibition.
