On July 25, 2006, the State Council of the People’s Republic of China made its decision to promote Mr. Yang Tiejun as the Vice-Commissioner of SIPO.

Mr. Yang, born in December of 1955, began his career in 1983 when he graduated from Changchun Post-Telecommunication Institute. Yang Tiejun has ever served SIPO as examiner of the Electricity Examination Department, deputy office director of the department, deputy director of the department, director of the department, director of telecommunication invention-creation examination department, director of exanimation administration department, and secretary-in-general of SIPO.
