"China has never stopped improving protections of intellectual property rights", says Zeng Peiyan to representatives of directors of SIA

Zeng Peiyan, Vice Premier of the State Department, met with representatives of directors of U.S. Semiconductor Industry Association (SIA), led by Chairman Brian L. Halla , in Zi-Guang Pavilion of Zhongnanhai. Zeng pointed out that the Chinese government is paying great attention to the development of the information industry and we welcome and encourage international cooperation. Moreover, China has never stopped improving protections of intellectual property rights.

Zeng Peiyan praised the efforts of SIA and the industry for their efforts in developing Sino-US cooperation in the semiconductor field. Zeng said, in recent years, the Sino-US economic and trade relations are advancing rapidly, bringing real and actual benefits to people of both nations as well as promoting the growth of the Asian and global economies. China and the U.S. complement each other strongly in many fields and strengthening cooperation between both nations has always been the key objective in the Sino-US economic and trade relations.

Zeng argued that China still has a large room for the expansion of semiconductor markets and the vision is rosy. He hoped that the semiconductor industry in the U.S. will solidify cooperation and communications with Chinese businesses, set up R&D centres in China, enhance incubation and trainings for local skilled labours. In this way, both countries can complement each other with their own advantages, benefit each other and accomplish a win-win co-development.
