June 19th , 2005,  the State Council of the People's Republic of China issued a notice regarding the appointment and removal of the Commissioner of the State Intellectual Property Office of the People's Republic of China (SIPO). According to the notice, Mr  Tian Lipu, former deputy Commissioner of the SIPO was appointed as Commissioner , and Mr Wang Jingchuan stepped down from his post.
