The China IPR Alliance web site, http://www.cipmun.net, a site jointly powered by the SIPO and IP-related TV programs including CCTV 10 Incredible Ideas, Guangxi Satellite TV Everyone's Patent, Anhui Satellite TV Gold Idea Action, Hebei Satellite TV Invention Space, Wuhan TV Light of Science and Technology, and Jilin Satellite TV Patent Online, was launched on 10 February 2004. 

The site was developed and maintained by the China Patent Technology Development Company.  From 2004, instructed by the SIPO, the Company started to collect good patented technologies.  After scrutinizing the technologies collected, the Company publishes them at the web site and recommend to the media mentioned.  It is estimated over 10,000 pieces of patent information will be published every year.

The functions or menus of the site include IPR news, management of patent information database, management of client database, multiple search entries, hits index of each piece of patent information, ranking of clicks on patent information, broadcast label of TV stations, online forum, online submission, patent service, companies and patent. 

In 2004, for the facilitation of patented technologies commercialization, the SIPO set up a program, titled Publishing Station of Chinese Patent Information, to introduce latest patented technologies with images and videos. 

The web site will play a positive role in elevating the awareness of the public in IPR protection and promoting China's scientific and economic development.
