Seminar on WangMa Numerical Coding, Great International Invention, Held in Beijing

September 6, the Seminar on WangMa Numerical Coding (WMNC), Great International Invention, was held in the Great Hall of People. Mr. Sun Fuling, former Vice Chair of the CPPCC, and other experts fully praised the achievements and importance of this technology.

WangMa Numerical Coding is a new technology based on the Five-stroke Input Method (WUBI), invented by Professor Wang Yongmin, which is much easier to use. WangMa Company also combined its software technology with hardware, developed a mouse product containing the WMNC inputting technology, and successfully put it into the North American market. The WMNC technology is widely used in the Chinese character input and processing by the UN and the four largest newspapers in New York. The Technology Training Center of WangMa Company was established 15 years ago in New York, and has obtained a dozen of patents in China, the US and the UK.

Mr. Ming Tinghua, Vice Chair of the Chinese Invention Association, said that it was not easy for the development of the WMNC technology. "Continuous invention, marketing, and internationalization for the human welfare" expressed its difficulty and spirit of 20 years' developing road. The WMNC technology is an original invention with intellectual property rights. Many US and Japanese companies, such as IBM, Microsoft and Casio, licensed it from WangMa Company.  Moreover, Professor Wang Yongmin is not only an inventor but also an entrepreneur, a successful combination.
