WTO Reviewed and Provided High Appraisal on the implementation of Intellectual Property in China

 

On September 17, the Intellectual Property Council of World Trade Organization reviewed the implementation of << Trade Related Agreement on Intellectual Property Rights>> in China after entry of WTO and also commitment made by China in the protocol, and positive appraisal was made.

Chinese Delegation headed by Sun Zhenyu, Ambassador of Mission to WTO attended the meeting. Before the review, China submitted 14 reports covering laws and regulations in respect of intellectual property. 101 written questions had been raised by six members of WTO including European Union, USA, Japan, Australia and so on.

The members of WTO gave positive evaluation to the achievement in respect of intellectual property in China and especially the effort of fulfillment since entry of WTO. Some members expressed the wish and demand of further strengthening the enforcement in China.
