October 1 is the first anniversary of the implementation of << Regulations on the Protection of Layout-Designs of Integrated Circuits >> in China.

By September 30, the Patent Office of State Intellectual Property Office had received a total of 196 applications for layout-designs of integrated circuits. 129 certificates for exclusive right have been issued.
  The implementation of << Regulations on the Protection of Layout-Designs of Integrated Circuits >> in China has fulfilled the promise China made for entry of WTO, and it also provides a new way of protection of the intellectual property in China??￥s integrated circuits industry.  After dissemination, popularization and one year??￥s practice, great importance has been well attached for the protection of layout-designs of integrated circuits. It??￥s believed that the number of will be increased for the protection of layout-designs of integrated circuits in China.
