On April 23, invited by the Government of Ji Nan City, Shan Dong Province, Deputy Commissioner Tian Lipu delivered a special report titled Knowledge-Based Economy and Intellectual Property Protection to the Ji Nan Communist Party's Committee and City Government.  Vice Mayor Chen Guodong anchored the meeting. 

Deputy Commissioner Tian introduced the current situation of intellectual property protection in China and the challenges facing Chinese government and companies in the field of intellectual property brought by China's accession to WTO and our solutions.  He explained the important roles of intellectual property in a company's survival and development with many actual successful and woeful cases of companies. 

During his visit, Deputy Commissioner Tian also listened the report of Shan Dong Provincial Intellectual Property Administration and visited Shan Dong Qi Lu Chemical Fiber Group Corporation and Ji Cheng Corporation.
