The Shanghai People's Procuratorate won the National Public Body Award of the 2017 Global Anti-Counterfeiting Awards from the Global Anti-Counterfeiting Group. The awards ceremony was held in Paris on June 7 - World Anti-Counterfeiting Day. The Shanghai People's Procuratorate has set up a finance and IP department, the first of its kind in China. The mechanism has significantly increased the efficiency of prosecutors to tackle IP crimes, according to the GACG.
