Oct.11 -- Recently, the 13th China-ASEAN Exposition (CAEXPO) was held in Nanning, Guangxi Province. According to the Intellectual Property Security & Anti-counterfeit Group, 26 law enforcement personnels from 14 city intellectual property (IP) offices within the Guangxi Intellectual Property Office Zone conducted patent law enforcement at the CAEXPO.
During the course of the CAEXPO, the State Intellectual Property Aid (Guangxi) Center set reception desk for safeguarding intellectual property rights (IPR) and to receive complaints. Patent law enforcement personnel carried out 16 inspections and spot-checked over a thousand products, involving over 200 patented products, and received 2 consultations on patent infringement dispute. They also investigated and treated 3 counterfeit patent cases and corrected 15 non-standard labelling of patent identification and patent mark. At the site, IP aid volunteers also provided instructions on how to bring a patent lawsuit and how it would be accepted and processed; distributed over 1000 pieces of IP publicity materials and advertised the intellectual property rights (IPR) assistance hotline "12330" in order to enhance the public's awareness of patent protection.
Up to now, the CAEXPO has been successfully held for 13 sessions. It has played an important role in economic and trade cooperation, and has become the "Big Stage" for China and the ASEAN countries and even the "Belt and Road" countries in terms of political mutual trust and cultural fusion.
