Guangdong: IP Office Collaborates with Guangdong University of Foreign Studies to Conduct IP Work Overseas

 

Sep.28 -- Recently, Guangdong Intellectual Property Office and Guangdong University of Foreign Studies jointly hosted the signing ceremony for the Framework Agreement on Collaboratively Conducting Intellectual Property Work Overseas and the First Leadership Group Meeting. Commissioner of the Guangdong Intellectual Property Office Ma Xianmin and Secretary of the Party Committee of Guangdong University of Foreign Studies Sui Guangjun delivered speeches and signed the agreement on behalf of the two parties.

According to the agreement, the two sides would collaboratively conduct close cooperation in areas such as intellectual property-related foreign affairs and establishing international intellectual property (IP) research institute. After the ceremony, the two sides held the First Leadership Group Meeting. He Jufeng, Deputy Commissioner of the Guangdong Intellectual Property Office introduced the annual work plan.

According to the plan, the two sides would steadily promote cooperative tasks in the following five aspects in 2016: 1) to collaboratively build IP research institute in the southern part of China; 2) conduct researches on the international systems and dynamics of IP; 3) launch quality courses for cultivating international IP talents; 4) prepare for IP policy research of intra-provincial enterprises' international trading; and 5) conduct pre-research of the annual report of Guangdong's IP-related foreign affairs.
