Jul.26 -- Based on statistics from agency of the State Intellectual Property Office in Haikou, by June 30, 2016, two patent pledge financing cases were processed in Hainan, involving 38 patents and a total of 230 million RMB, which was higher than last year's 116.65 million RMB and set a new record.

Among the two cases, one was the Hainan Huanyu New Energy Co., Ltd. and China Integrated Energy, Inc. together receiving 80 million of patent pledge loan from the Haikou branch of the China CITIC Bank Corporation Limited, and the other was Hainan Jingrun Pearl Biotech Holding Co., Ltd. receiving 150 million RMB from Haikou Rural Commercial Bank Co., Ltd.

In the first half year of 2016, the Intellectual Property Office of Hainan Province held multiple symposiums on patent pledge financing to explore the working mode of patent pledge financing with various banks, academic institutions and high-tech enterprises, hence broadening financial services relating to intellectual property rights (IPR). In the 12th session of science and technology month, the Intellectual Property Office of Hainan Province also held the "Provincial Lecturing Tour on Patent Pledge Financing Services" and provided counterpart funds and established a teaching team to spread knowledge of patent pledge financing to local enterprises to help them evaluate and realize the value of patent.
