Jul.19 -- Legislation training of the Education, Science, Culture and Public Health Committee of the People's Congress of Hubei Province was held recently in Wuhan. Deputy Director of the Committee Xie Songbao attended the session and delivered a speech. Officials from Hubei Intellectual Property Bureau also attended the session and gave information on the intellectual property (IP) work in Hubei and the formation of the Patent Ordinance of Hubei Province.

Officials from Hubei Provincial People's Congress agreed that it was necessary to proceed from the perspective of national strategy and institutional improvement and stick to the principle of scientific legislation and democratic legislation for the purpose of solving the core contradictions and common dilemmas in patent work. They also stressed the importance of deepening reform in the area of IP and promoting the progress of building a strong province in terms of IP development. 17 heads from the Education, Science, Culture and Public Health Committee of the People's Congress at municipal and prefectural levels exchanged views on the manuscript of the Patent Ordinance of Hubei Province and offered suggestions on it.
