BEIJING, Jun.12 (China Daily) -- The autonomous region plans to highlight the development of patent-intensive industries during the 13th Five-Year Plan period (2016-20) to promote industrial transformation and foster new sources of economic growth. By 2020, patent-intensive industries will contribute 30 percent of Guangxi's total industrial output value and more than 30 local companies will each have at least 100 invention patents, according to the region's government. It will also build at least five patent-intensive industrial zones and 10 patent cultivation demonstration centers.
