BEIJING, Jun.12 (China Daily) -- The Urumqi High-tech Innovation Service Center launched training on patent filing and other patent-related matters in the Biomedical Innovation Park on June 2.

The training is to help the science and technology companies in the park learn how to file a patent and encourage them to increase the number of their patent applications, especially those in science and technology projects.

Yang Lianyong, the director of the Xinjiang IPR Training Base, together with ShiYuan, the head of the Institute of Science and Technology Development Strategy in Xinjiang, explained the significance of patent protection and the filing process in detail, illustrating his points with vivid examples.

The training accelerates both taking the companies' scientific outcomes to market and the development of social economy and science.
