BEIJING, Apr.7 (China Daily) -- The Guangxi intellectual property office recently unveiled plans to reach the lofty goal of at least 150,000 invention patent applications during the 13th Five-Year Plan period (2016-20). The invention patent ownership per 10,000 residents in Guangxi is targeted to reach six by 2020, doubling the number at the end of 2015. The plan will grant an award of 500,000 yuan ($77,300) to each company with more than 1,000 patents, and 30,000 yuan for each overseas patent application.
