Beijing: Rubber Duck Destroyed

After the Dutch artist Florentijn Hofman's giant rubber duck ended its tour at the Summer Palace in Beijing last Sunday, it was cut into pieces by 20 park workers to protect the designer's intellectual property rights. The famous duck attracted millions of visitors and brought about 200 million yuan ($32.8 million) in tourist income during its six-week stay in Beijing.
