The Luoyang industry and commerce bureau recently destroyed two illegal alcohol distilleries during a crackdown on trademark infringement that began last month. Officials said they seized 755 cases of fake-branded Chinese liquor with a potential retail value of about 300,000 yuan ($48,100) that carried counterfeited labels for Moutai, Wuliangye and Jiannanchun. The law enforcement bureau also seized 280 barrels of fake Nippon brand paint during the crackdown.
