Beijing: Publishers Hear Copyright Call

 

Yan Xiaohong, deputy head of the national copyright administration, called for stronger global cooperation in copyright protection during a meeting with a delegation from the International Publishers Association on Nov 13.He said the administration plans to build a library of copyrighted works to improve copyright management and services to owners. It is also organizing training and education programs to promote copyright awareness.Youngsuk Chi, president of the IPA, said the association is "willing to establish a Chinese branch under the Copyright Society of China".
