China's first home-developed mobile rescue capsule for coal miners was recently licensed for mass production.

Developed by Pingdingshan-based Pingmei Shenma Group, the capsule can shelter 12 people underground for 96 hours.

In addition to food and water, it is equipped with seats, lamps, a telephone, a first aid kit and toxic gas filtration.
