Nanjing government in Jiangsu province released its IPR protection and promotion regulations recently. The regulations formulate provisions on IPR creation and utilization in establishing and improving the encouragement guarantee system encouraging IPR creation and utilization, in providing fiscal support for R&D. Also, the regulations include fighting against IPR infringement, IPR protection and administration for Youth Olympic Games.

According to one principle from Nanjing IP office, the city has long vigorously promoted implementation of IPR strategy since the National Intellectual Property Strategy Compendium was released in June 2008. In terms of patent objectives, the regulations clearly define that patent applications and granting will be doubled than those of the 11th Five-Year Period by 2015 and 400 IPR model companies will be fostered, 500 patent industrialization projects, 100 famous trademarks will be recognized and 10,000 IP personnel be cultivated.
