Twenty automakers are illustrating the risks posed by counterfeit parts through pictures and videos at this year's China (Guangzhou) International Automobile Exhibition from Nov 22 to 28.

Experts said fake brake pads, glass, lights and other parts can seriously endanger the lives of both drivers and passengers, and also degrade a car's performance by damaging fuel and power systems.

The displays are a combined effort by member companies of

the China Association of Enterprises with Foreign Investment and the Intellectual Property Protection Alliance of Japanese Companies.
