The Shenzhen Market Supervision Administration investigated more than 120 IP infringements related to the Universiade 2011, a sport gala for university students worldwide.
The event was held in Shenzhen in August.
Enforcement officials found the Universiade logo and trademarks used illegally on flags, shopping bags and T-shirts.
Before the event began, organizers filed 90 trademark applications and received a design patent for its relay torch and championship medals.
They also registered copyrights for key graphics including mascot designs.
