The China Academy of Launch Vehicle Technology (CALT) recently filed lawsuits in Fengtai District Court against automaker BMW China and milk producer Mengniu Dairy Group alleging unauthorized use in their advertisements of images of the Long March carrier rocket developed by CALT.

CALT said that BMW and Mengniu used the fame of the rockets to promote their products and increase market influence. It is asking for 100,000 yuan ($15,670) in compensation from BMW China and 500,000 yuan from Mengniu.
