Jiangsu: Two Tankers by COSCO Named

A ceremony was recently held in the costal city Nantong to unveil the names of two ships built for Danish ocean transport company Launritzen Tankers.

Named the Dan Cisne and Dan Sabia, the shuttle tankers were designed and built by COSCO Shipyard Group using China's latest proprietary shipbuilding technologies. The 59,000-ton ships feature higher performance, safety and mobility than similar foreign products, the shipbuilder said.

The tankers will be used to carry crude oil between offshore platforms, floating storage facilities and on-shore sites.
