A three-day national conference began on Aug 22 in Arshaan with the aim of improving intellectual property (IP) protection for foreign goods and services.
More than 60 delegates from 30 provincial and municipal IP offices attended the forum.
Li Yuguang, deputy-director of the State Intellectual Property Office (SIPO), said officials at all levels should know the current international situation well, especially development trends in IP.
He said he hopes the conference will accelerate establishment of communication and cooperation between IP offices nationwide.
Wang Xiaohui, vice-director of the international cooperation department at SIPO, said the organization will provide more guidance and help for local offices to strengthen IP protection.
