The intellectual property office at the provincial capital Changsha recently unveiled the city's list of top 10 inventors.

More than 200 patents by the inventors have been commercialized with products valued at about 6 billion yuan ($938.4 million) that generated more than 1.2 billion yuan in profit.

Most of the award winners are grassroots workers and researchers who "made great contribution to the city's emerging industries such as advanced manufacturing, biomedicine and new energy development".
