The Chinese company, Wisefame International Co., Ltd (Wisefame), ended this four-year legal battle on a triumphant note to share the patent right in the U.S. titled "portable body massage machine" with America Homedics company (Homedics) recently.

Wisefame developed an electric massage cushion and filed the patent application of "a structure of massage machine" to SIPO in 2002. After successfully put the technology into production, Wisefame began to coopertate with Homedics untill 2007. Wisefame found Homedics applied for patent application to USPTO in 2004 and obtained the patent of portable body massage machine in October, 2006. Homedics then prevented Wisefame's entry into American market.

After four years' legal battle with expensive legal fees, the United States District Court for Eastern District of Michigan entered a judgement last February, holding Wisefame as the joint patentee. Homedics eventually settled with Wisefame after the trial, permitting Wisefame to access to the American market.
