A forum on software copyright protection in Dalian on June 18 will discuss intellectual property's role in the industry and the effect of innovation on the global competitiveness of Chinese companies.

New software and copyright protection methods will also be introduced to participants at the forum.

Organized by the China International Software and Information Service Fair, it is expected to attract about 150 industry representatives, government officials and scholars.
