Fuxin police recently arrested 12 suspects for selling pirated DVDs.

Shipped in from Guangdong province, the disks were packaged for resale around the province and generated daily revenues of about 30,000 yuan ($4,626).

Police said that one of the ringleaders, surnamed Liu, made more than 1.6 million yuan in profits from illegal DVD sales since 2009.
