The recent fourth youth creative ideas contest in the northwestern autonomous region was the largest in the event's history.
Jointly sponsored by the region's education department, intellectual property office and education society, the contest held four competitions - basic knowledge in intellectual property, creative designs and solar-powered amphibious car design and racing Participants included 885 entrants from 63 primary, secondary and high schools.
The event aims to foster the spirit of innovation and practical implementation among youth to enhance their chances of future success, said Liao Bin, chief of the Ningxia intellectual property office.
Liao said he hopes more schools will attach importance to intellectual property education and more students will participate in the event.
