Delegates from large State-owned enterprises were invited to an open day at the State Intellectual Property Office in late April to hear patent talks by experts and tour an exhibition of Gold Patent Award winners.

"I hope my company's invention will join the ranks of the exhibition," said Zhuo Xiaojun, a participants from a technology management section of China Minmetals Corp.

The open day has been held for five years since 2006. University students were invited last year.
