Tibet has applied for 953 patents since 2002, with an annual application increasing to 180 during the 2006-2009 period from 50 during the 2002-2005 period. Tibet applied for 195 patents in 2009 and for 19 in the first quarter of 2010, according to the Regional Bureau of the Intellectual Property Right.
