Online copyright disputes comprised a large proportion of 2009 intellectual property cases in this southern autonomous region.

A total of 567 civil cases were settled at various level courts, three times the number in 2008.

Cases related to online content are continuing to increase, with courts accepting 670 new infringement cases from January 2008, some 64 percent of the total during that period.
