Shanghai Administration for Industry and Commerce (SHAIC) and Coordination Bureau of Shanghai Expo jointly organized a training course on protection of Expo symbols.  Li Jianchang, Director General of the Trademark Office under the SAIC said, his office will organize training of AICs nationwide on the subject based this course and wage three special campaigns during preparation and organization phase to support the Expo.

Huang Jianzhi, Deputy Director of the Coordination Bureau believed on the basis of the Regulations on the Protection of Expo Symbols and with the strong support from AICs and other IPR authorities, protection of Expo symbols will pan out and offer valuable experiences on IPR protection for large events.
