IPR Evaluation a Prerequisite for Major Spending in Zhengzhou

 

Any spending of government money over 50 million yuan on big business projects in Zhengzhou shall go through IPR evaluation, according to a new circular of the Henan capital.

Under the circular, project operator shall present an IPR evaluation report to the city IPR administration before establishing any important business project involving IPRs.  The items subject to evaluate include: information of the IPRs in both China and overseas, such as right category, quantity, legal status and remaining time of protection; risk analysis of possible conflict of interests between IPRs in the project and others' IPRs; possibility and ownership of IPRs acquired from the project; protective measures for R & D.
