The Xiamen Branch of the Bank of Communications and Xiamen Youo Electric Appliances Co Ltd on Sept 4 signed an agreement on a patent pledge loan.

The bank gave the appliance company a credit line of 300 million yuan.

It is reported that this is the first patent pledge loan in Xiamen since the implementation of the Guidelines for Xiamen Patent Pledge Loan Work on Aug 19.

The guidelines includes 26 items and will regulate and direct the work of intellectual property pledge loans from Xiamen for such aspects as conditions of an investment by using patent rights, the purpose of the loan, credit lines and the value appraisal of patent rights.
