Heilongjiang province authorities recently announced the third stage of actions to combat pornography and illegal publications.

The province's Office of Anti-Pornography and Anti-Illegal Publications developed publicity and education activities during the first stage.

During the second stage, authorities intensified their supervision over the manufacturing, printing, replication and sales of publications to investigate illegal actions.

During the third stage, the Office of Anti-Pornography and Anti-Illegal Publications will work with other agencies in the province to shut down enterprises manufacturing, shipping, pirating and illegally publishing publications.

During the fourth stage, the office will implement a long-term supervision mechanism to regulate the operations of publishing entities.
